Meet Our Team

Tricia Smith, SHRM-CP
Founder/Principal Recruiter
I’m Tricia Smith, SHRM-CP, and for nearly two decades, I’ve dedicated my career to connecting people with opportunities that ignite their passions. As a recruiter who’s worked in corporate, in-house, and agency settings across a variety of industries, I’ve seen the incredible impact that great talent can have on an organization—and how hard it can be for some to access the right recruiting resources.

Seattle has been my home for over 20 years, and during that time, I’ve grown especially connected to the nonprofit community here. Watching these mission-driven organizations pour their hearts into creating meaningful change while struggling to find and retain the right people is what pushed me to make a shift. I founded The Jule Group with a clear vision: to provide organizations with high-caliber recruiting services that don’t drain their resources—because I believe their hard-earned funds should be reserved for moving their missions forward, not paying exorbitant recruiting fees.

I’ve built The Jule Group on empathy, expertise, and a deep commitment to helping organizations thrive. With a SHRM-CP certification and nearly finished Master’s in Organizational Leadership, I bring a strategic, people-first approach to every partnership. For me, it’s about more than filling a role—it’s about helping nonprofits build teams that reflect their values and further their mission.

Connecting people has always been my superpower. I’m a natural helper, and there’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone find their professional spark or seeing an organization thrive because they’ve found the perfect person to join their team.

When I’m not working with clients or helping my team build better talent strategies, you’ll find me enjoying life with my husband of 15 years, our two kids, and our three gigantic, lovable dogs. My work, my family, my city—these are the things that drive me. I’m here to make a difference, and I believe we can do that together.

Principal Recruiting Consultant
With over twenty years of extensive experience in full-cycle recruitment, my passion lies in identifying and developing top specialized talent capable of driving impactful innovation. Most recently, I held the role of Associate Director of Talent Acquisition at a dynamic Biotech company specializing in regenerative medicine. Over the past decade, I've refined my expertise in Life Science recruitment for pre-commercial companies and contract development manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) across the United States. My professional journey spans a variety of industries including Healthcare, Global Health, Information Technology, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Marketing/Communications, Publishing, and Training Development.

My career began after completing my master’s in industrial organizational psychology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where I first delved into scientific recruitment. Landing a position as an HR Specialist at Radiant Research in the Seattle area, a site management organization (SMO), provided invaluable insights into clinical trials, HR management, recruitment, and mergers/acquisitions. Subsequently, I strengthened my HR expertise, specializing in Talent Acquisition for small to mid-size enterprises, while leveraging my analysis of competitive data to form resourceful recruiting strategies. Noteworthy achievements include managing staffing initiatives for new business locations, forming new teams for expanding organizations, and developing selection tools for mass recruitment initiatives. I have also conducted interview training for managers and enhanced employer branding strategies through channel audits, resulting in refined recruitment strategies. I pride myself on building trusted and long-lasting partnerships with my former clients, and always go above and beyond to provide a consultative approach.

Although I've spent good portion of my adult life in Kirkland, Washington, I've recently relocated to Mount Pleasant, SC, to be closer to family on the East Coast. Despite the move, my connection to the Seattle area remains strong with regular visits to the Pacific Northwest.

I've always preferred the path least traveled. That's why I packed my bags and traveled to the University of Wroclaw to further my education with a Master's in International Relations. I have a passion for learning, and I'm always eager to feel a little uncomfortable to further my understanding. Throughout my education and professional experience, I have constantly questioned what traits can help me become a better person than I was the day before. Getting to know Tricia helped answer that question. To be Judicious, Unwavering, Lucid, and Empathetic are the core values of The Jule Group. I'm excited to be part of a team of fearless pioneers.
My career in recruiting started with Zymeworks Inc. I was brought aboard to support the rapidly growing company recruiting efforts. Recruiting seemed to tickle my brain in all the right places. Helping people find careers to better their lives, getting to know fascinating people with rich stories, and helping find the right piece of the larger puzzle excited me to no end. Things changed dramatically when the country underwent lockdowns. With the wonderful Talent Acquisition team we've been building, we were able to nearly triple the size of the company within two years.
Following my time at Zymeworks, I joined Enphase Energy, a renewable energy company. With wonderful mentors and unique conditions, I was responsible for the hiring effort to bring in enough electrical and systems engineers to build a whole new department. When my time there ended, I felt ready for the next step and now I'm proud to be part of The Jule Group.
Despite my professional journey taking me to different places, Washington has always been my home. The breathtaking beauty of the mountains, lakes, rivers, and even the rugged beaches is unparalleled. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a supportive circle of friends, with whom I enjoy lively board game nights. Recently, I embarked on a new chapter of my personal life by marrying my dear wife, Rawan. We are excited to explore all the hidden treasures that Washington has to offer and create our own unique experiences in this beautiful state.
